The way to acquire a Musty Smell Out of Rattan Furniture

As with other kinds of furniture, rattan picks up musty smells if stored in a moist area for an extended time. This smell sticks using the furniture if it’s moved to a new dry location, but the smell doesn’t need to be lasting. A bleach solution and dry states remove the musty odor as well as any mildew or mould, but it may take several treatments to completely deodorize the rattan.

Get Bold with Bleach

If the rattan furniture smells musty, there’s a chance mold or mildew are present as well. Look after all three possible problems by mixing water and bleach together one to you in a bucket, then wiping the furniture down using a sponge or toothbrush dipped into the solution. Wipe it down again with a sponge dipped in clean water to remove all of the bleach, dry it with a towel, then enable the furniture to dry completely for several times in a non-humid location. Repeat the procedure if necessary. If the smell is still present, then sprinkle baking soda on it after the last time you wipe it down with water, then let it dry.
