How Long Must a Complete Length Mirror Be?

A full size mirror, sometimes called a floor mirror if it has a stand, is intended to reflect your whole body, not just a particular section. The right length for attaining this target depends on your height as well as how close to the mirror that you want to endure.

The Long and Short Of It

In order to demonstrate a manifestation of your whole body, a mirror has to be at least half as long as your height. For example, if you’re 68 inches tall, the mirror has to be at least 34 inches long or you will only see part of yourself in the manifestation. Since full length mirrors come in regular sizes, you should choose one that is at least half of the period of the tallest person who will use it. Standard full-size dimensions are 36, 40 and 48 inches. The longer the mirror is, the closer you can stand to it and still see your whole reflection. This is an important factor to keep in mind if you’ll be placing the mirror in a place with limited space.
